Hello, my name is Esther!

I am a senior-level gameplay animator who delights in being both a scrappy gameplay animator and an well-rounded leader.

I’m currently working with the incredible team at BioWare, where we are busy working on Dragon Age. I have in-depth experience working across the spectrum of animation styles - from stylized, cartoon key-framing to realistic motion capture work. I also particularly enjoy creating healthy spaces for my teammates to flourish, and find it especially satisfying to identify and smooth out friction points in the animation pipeline. I love getting knee deep in the creative process with fellow creatives, I love the multi-disciplinary teamwork and intentional communication involved in making it all come together, and it always thrills me to see my work frolic in-game.

In the past, I was also the co-host of the Animation Roundtables at the annual Game Developers Conference, one of the many organizers behind the Animation Exchange online conference, and the co-creator of the podcast A Keyframe of Mind.

Outside of my work things, I love being out in nature, making yet another crooked bowl in my beginner pottery classes, chaotic karaoke nights, and having in-depth discussions with my book club pals. And giggling over silly dog videos, obviously.

If you would like to say hello, feel free to reach out to me via LinkedIn or the form below. Thanks for stopping by!
